How does Kickstarter crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding is a collaborative way to bring ideas and projects to life. Project creators post their idea for a project and backers pledge money to make the project possible. Backers get behind the scenes access and backer-only rewards, which can include exclusive products, special pricing, creative input, content and more.
To become a backer, select a pledge level that features the reward(s) you would like to receive when the project is successfully completed, select any additional add-ons offered that you would like to include with your pledge and make your contribution.
All-or-nothing crowdfunding model: The creator sets a funding goal and a deadline to raise funds. If the project does not meet the goal by the deadline, backers credit cards are not charged and no money changes hands.
Make sure to check the estimated timeline of when rewards will be delivered. We will keep you updated on our progress toward completion and delivery of your rewards.
Backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing an item from a store. When you back a campaign you are supporting the creation of something new. Rewards are almost always delivered, but are not guaranteed.

When will I be charged for my pledge?
Your payment method will not be charged right away. You will be charged for the amount of your pledge when the campaign ends and the project reaches its funding goal. You will not be charged if the campaign does not reach its funding goal.
Shipping charges are not changed at this time. They are charged in the pledge manager after the campaign.

What happens after the Kickstarter campaign is over?
We will send out a survey that will ask you for more information about your pledge, your shipping information, additional items you may want to add to your pledge, and collect shipping fees if applicable.
The survey will be sent to the email address associated with the Kickstarter account you used to make your pledge.
Any additional payment(s) will be charged when you complete your survey and confirm your order in the pledge manager.

Are these STL files?
This campaign features pledges for both physical miniatures or STL files. Please make sure you select the appropriate pledge depending on your preference.
STL files will be fulfilled digitally once the pledge manager opens after the campaign ends. You will receive both pre-supported and unsupported files for each model your pledge contains.

Where are these miniatures being produced?
All of the miniatures featured in this campaign are being produced in-house by us at our workshop in St. Louis, MO.

Do the minis come pre-assembled?
Most of the minis will be a single piece that will not require assembly (bases are separate, see renders on the campaign page for accurate depiction). Due to the practicalities of injection casting, some minis will be in two or more parts. These can be assembled using super glue (cyanoacrylate). The parts will only fit one way and will not require instructions. Some minimal preparation of the mini may be required for a secure and tight bond.

Are bases included?
Yes, each physical mini will come with an appropriately sized round black plastic base. Bases are sized 25mm, 50mm, and 75mm in width and are ~3mm tall. The base is not part of the miniature and will need to be attached using super glue (cyanoacrylate).

Do I need to prime the minis before painting?
No, the injection cast minis in thermoplastic resin can be painted on directly with your favorite acrylic paints. Although you can use primer if you wish and it will not harm the mini (even spray primer is OK to use).
Any minis produced in translucent plastic will require primer should you wish to paint on them. See model guide on the campaign page for full model details.

What is the expected delivery date for this project?
To be honest, that all depends on how well successful the campaign ends up. The more backers on the project, the longer it will take to produce the minis, pack them and ship. We have conservatively listed May of 2026 as the delivery date.
However, many of our campaigns have been delivered up to 6 months earlier than we originally estimated, so you can be sure we’re going to work as quickly as we can to get these minis into your hands!

How do I enhance my pledge with add-ons?
There are two ways to do so. First, you can include add-ons as part of your pledge as you proceed through the checkout process here on Kickstarter. We have a bunch of add-ons available which you can view and explore when selecting your pledge options before finalizing your pledge.
Alternatively, if you aren’t 100% sure of which add-ons you’d like to get, you can manually add the dollar amount of the add-ons you expect to want to your pledge total. You will be credited your full Kickstarter pledge amount in the pledge manager after the campaign to allocate towards any add-ons you wish to purchase there.

Can I purchase more than one copy of a pledge?
Yes, additional pledges will be available in the pledge manager after the campaign ends. If you add additional funds to your initial Kickstarter pledge those funds will be credited to you in the pledge manager to allocate towards any add-ons or additional pledges offered there.

We will have a la carte purchasing options for all brand new Dragon’s Cache Vol. 2 miniatures, including any unlocked stretch goals in the pledge manager.

What is the scale of your miniatures?
28mm scale. If you are familiar with the WizKids D&D line of miniatures scaling, these miniatures are comparably sized.

Yes, we have a Google sheet that is linked on the campaign page in the “Model Guide” section which details the height (mm) of all revealed and unlocked models and the size base it will come with, along with other special notes and details about the models.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
